DTW Taxi (also operating as AT Detroit / DTW Airport Taxi, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through dtwtaxi.com, how we use it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

When you request a quote or reserve a ride we collect:

• Contact: your name, phone number, and email address.
• Trip details: pickup address, drop-off address, date, time, passenger count, luggage count, flight number (optional), and any notes you add.
• Payment information (only when you provide it for a card-on-file booking): cardholder name, card number, expiry, CVV, and billing address. Card data is encrypted at rest and shown to our dispatcher only for the purpose of authorizing the ride. We do not sell or share card data.
• Automatic: your IP address, browser type, referring page, and timestamps — standard web-server logs that help us secure the site.

3. How we use it

• To confirm, schedule, and complete your ride.
• To send you booking confirmations, ride reminders, and receipts.
• To respond to questions you send us.
• To detect and prevent fraud, security incidents, or misuse of our booking system.
• To meet our legal and tax obligations.

4. Card data handling

Card numbers and CVVs are encrypted using industry-standard cryptography before being written to our database and are only decrypted at the moment a dispatcher processes the charge. After the ride is charged, card data is purged from our system on request or on our normal retention schedule. We do not store CVV beyond what is needed to authorize the first charge.

5. Who we share it with

• Chauffeurs and dispatchers who need it to complete your ride.
• Payment processors (only when we run your card).
• Email delivery service we use to send booking confirmations.
• Law enforcement or courts if we are legally required to disclose information.

We do not sell your information to third parties. We do not use it for advertising profiling.

6. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to run the booking form and remember your session. The site does not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings.

7. Your rights

You can email info@dtwtaxi.com to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
• Ask us to delete your information (subject to any records we must keep for tax or legal reasons).
• Opt out of marketing emails (we send transactional emails only unless you subscribe).

8. Retention

We keep booking records for as long as needed to run our business and meet legal obligations, then delete them. Card data is deleted sooner, as described above.

9. Children

DTW Taxi is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
