Welcome to DTW Taxi. By booking a ride or using our website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. General

DTW Taxi provides professional ground transportation services in the Detroit Metro area, Southeast Michigan, Windsor (Ontario), and Northern Ohio. These terms apply to all reservations made online, by phone, or through any other method.


2. Reservations & Booking

  • All reservations must include accurate pickup location, destination, date, time, and passenger count.
  • Bookings are confirmed only after you receive a confirmation from DTW Taxi via phone, email, or SMS.
  • DTW Taxi reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion.
  • Providing false or inaccurate booking information may result in cancellation without refund.

3. Pricing & Payment

  • Fares are based on distance, vehicle type, and service selected at time of booking.
  • All fares are quoted prior to booking confirmation. Final charges may vary if pickup/drop-off locations change.
  • Additional charges may apply for: extra stops, excessive waiting time, tolls, parking fees, or luggage assistance beyond standard service.
  • We accept all major credit/debit cards and cash.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice but confirmed bookings will be honored at the quoted rate.

4. Passenger Responsibilities

  • Passengers must be ready at the designated pickup location at the scheduled time.
  • Passengers are responsible for the behavior of themselves and their party during the ride.
  • Any damage caused to the vehicle by a passenger will be charged to the responsible party.
  • No alcohol, illegal substances, or smoking is permitted in any DTW Taxi vehicle.
  • Animals must be secured in appropriate carriers unless prior arrangement has been made.

5. Flight Tracking & Airport Service

  • DTW Taxi monitors flight schedules for airport pickups. However, passengers are advised to update us directly if flight changes occur.
  • DTW Taxi is not responsible for delays caused by airline cancellations, rebooking, or airport-side delays beyond our control.
  • Meet-and-greet service (inside terminal) must be requested and confirmed at time of booking.

6. Waiting Time

  • For airport pickups: drivers will wait up to 60 minutes after the actual flight landing time at no extra charge.
  • For non-airport pickups: drivers will wait up to 15 minutes from the scheduled pickup time.
  • Waiting beyond these windows may incur additional charges or result in the booking being treated as a no-show.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • DTW Taxi is not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, or other conditions beyond our control.
  • DTW Taxi is not responsible for missed flights, meetings, or events due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Maximum liability is limited to the fare paid for the trip in question.
  • Passengers are responsible for their own belongings. DTW Taxi is not liable for lost or forgotten items, though we will make reasonable efforts to return found property.

8. Privacy

  • Personal information collected during booking is used solely to process your reservation and improve our service.
  • We do not sell or share your information with third parties except as required by law.
  • By booking with us, you consent to receiving booking confirmations and service-related communications.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Wayne County, Michigan.


10. Changes to Terms

DTW Taxi reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
